Memory Album - File Under M for Memories

Today I'm going to share an album that I made using a tutorial from Paper Phenomenon.  It's called "File Under M for Memories".  This album took me forever (months actually) to complete because I would only work on it a little at a time, then set it aside and work on something else.  A couple of days ago I decided I needed to just work on it until it was done, so here it is.  The only problem is that it's so full already that I can't add any photos to it or I won't be able to close it.  Someday I will have to take the pages out and make a new spine and covers so that I can add photos to the album, but until then it is just going to sit prettily on my shelf!

I made the album using Graphic 45's Botanical Tea Collection along with Bazzill cardstock, Windy, Quicksand, Quartz and Pinecone.  I also used BoBunnys Mint Dot Cardstock.

Here are the photos...look how full it already is without any photos yet!  What was I thinking??? LOL
It is pretty though so maybe it doesn't need any photos?

Enjoy...
This is what happens when I undo the closure...it's so full it just pops open!

The rest of these pictures show some of the pages inside the album. There are a few more that I didn't show but these here are the best of the best.  Enjoy...

Insta - Brag Book - Paper Phenomonen June 2014 Bonus Kit

I just finished my June Kit bonus Project from Paper Phenomenon.  I really love this little mini album, which is made to be used with Instagram photos.  It was so quick to make and can hold lots of photos, (which I haven't added yet).  I used the Teresa Collins "Daily Stories" collection with a few "Me & My Big Ideas" 4 x 6 cards added to the pockets and some Heidi Swapp cut out tags.  I also used Bazzil Papers in White, Twinkle Pink, Prismatic and a Blue/Green that I don't have a name for.  The flowers are Prima and I used some Stickles, Pearls, a Doily, 2 White Baby Snaps and a pretty Paper Clip on the cover.

All of my pockets hold the following items, all decorated differently:
1 - 5 x 7 photo mat          1 - 4.5 x 6.5 photo mat          1 - 4 x 6 journaling card
1 - 2.25 x 6 Core'dinations Bookmark with a twine bow

Enjoy...

Just Kickin It Shoe for Jaxson

Today I am sharing a scrapbook project that I made for my new Great Nephew Jaxson who was born on the 4th of July!

This is a Paper Phenomenon Kit Club project. (find it Here)  It is a converse shoe made of chipboard with a tag album inside.  There are 12 tags so I thought it would be fun to use for monthly photos and some journaling as Jaxson grows during his first year.

I used paper from Carta Bella called Baby Mine by Carina Gardner.  It's for baby boys and is really adorable.  The white paper is Bazzill White.  I also added some cute charms, a bicycle, baby feet, blocks & a love tag, to the ring that holds all of the tags together.  The charms hang at the back of the shoe...

Enjoy...

Bridesmaid & Groomsmen Engagement Party

My last post was some of the items that I made for Kristina's Engagement Party, but today I want to share the Bridesmaid & Groomsmen boxes she put together to ask their friends to be a part of their wedding party.

For the girls she purchased boxes from Michaels, black "Team Bride" tops from an etsy shop, glow rings from the party store and a pretty sheer bag to put the rings into.  She also decorated the cutest tiny bottles of champagne using silver glitter, sheer ribbon, tiny strip gems and a pretty pearl to put into the center of each bow.  They look like a bridesmaid dress...

For the guys she purchased boxes from Michaels, black "Team Groom" T-Shirts from an etsy shop and decorated the same tiny champagne bottles using glitter paper, white paper, black satin ribbon and tiny black buttons.  They look like groomsmen tuxedos...

For the little girls and boys, they have the same boxes but with bottles of apple cider instead of champagne.

She also wrote a very special note to each of the girls and added a photo of the two of them together.  Eric wrote notes to the guys too.  Then she printed and glued them to the inside tops of each box.

All of their friends were so excited to be asked...some already knew but some did not so they were so happy and surprised.  I will add a photo here so you can see them all...and yes Kristina has 12 Bridesmaids and 2 Flower Girls while Eric has 10 Groomsmen and 1 Ring Bearer.  That's going to be quite a wedding party but when you have so many bff's how do you choose...right?!?!  LOL

Decorated Champagne Bottles...soooooo cute!

Each box was tied with a lace bow...

The Groom (center with "The Groom" T-Shirt) & Groomsmen...
Missing 2 Groomsmen
You may notice one of the Groomsmen's T-Shirt says "Team Bride"...that's Carl (top right) and he is Kristina's Very Best Friend so..."Team Bride" for him.

The party was so much fun for all...It was wonderful to meet some of Eric's family and to be able to visit awhile before we have the wedding in June of 2015.  Unfortunately Kristina had two bridesmaids who couldn't make the party because one, just a week ago, had a baby and the other lives in Spain and will be coming out next May to stay for a whole month before the wedding.  She is also missing one of her flower girls who was on vacation with her grandparents.  Eric was missing two groomsmen.  They both live out of state so they couldn't make it either but all will be there for the BIG DAY!

Now on to Kristina's list of things to do for the wedding...That list is another long one...LOL

Can't wait for the big day...SAVE THE DATE...June 20, 2015!

Engagement Party for Kristina

It's been awhile since I've posted anything because I was working on Engagement Party stuff for my youngest daughter Kristina...Now that the party has happened I can show you some of the things we made for it...

First is the Table Decorations...they were made using jars from the World Market & Michaels.   We covered them with burlap, lace, pearls, twine, sheer ribbon & burlap flowers.  Inside the largest jar we put small rocks and then on the day of the party we added babies breath and a pretty white flower which I don't know the name of (see the third photo of the flowers).  All items are sitting on a oval shaped slice of wood from Hobby Lobby which is sitting on top of two doilies and a colored burlap table place mat.  I also found the cute blue and green flowered table cloths from Target, which totally matched our color scheme, so I went to four different stores to have enough to cover all of our tables at the party...and bought them all!

Next are the decorations on the inside around the fireplace...the pretty blue, green & white balls and stars are from the Martha Stewart Party Collection.  The Love letters are made using paper mache letters which I painted, stenciled, stamped and sprayed with blue, green and peach colored Glimmermist sprays.  I also added some pretty burlap flowers.  The wedding date and Eric & Kristina banners are made from cut burlap, then sponge painted white. The letters were painted in black and the hearts were painted red.  I added a bit of stickles around the hearts for some sparkle.

We set up a Cookie Desert Table.  The "Love is Sweet so Grab a Treat" sign is a photo frame from World Market that already was painted with chalkboard paint.  I added the wording using Sharpie White Paint Pens.  I also added some swirls, a butterfly, a big burlap flower and some stickles for some sparkle.  Then I hung it from a stand that I had purchased from Hobby Lobby last year.  Worked out perfectly!

I made 10 different cookies prior to the party and put them in the freezer until the day of the party.  On the day before the party we made the Oreo Cookies covered with White Chocolate and blue & green sugar crystals.  Each is individually wrapped...they are on the left hand side of the bottom photo in the white wood rack.  On the center white platter are individual sized packages of "Chex Mix Christmas Crack" which I made tags for and just called them "Chex Mix Crack".  It consists of Chex Mix Corn & Rice, Cheerios, Chow-main Noodles, Peanuts, and Almonds mixed with a cooked/creamed mixture of butter, brown sugar, vanilla and baking soda.  Very addicting which is why it's named "CRACK"...lol

For each type of cookie I made a cute sign with the name of the cookie on a chalkboard stick which was stuck inside a tiny ceramic flower pot.  I added burlap ribbon, flowers and butterflies to decorate.  I also added small rocks in the pots to hide the foam which was holding the signs straight.

For the cookie bags, Kristina designed the saying on her computer then we printed out each "To Go Bag".  We set them on the cookie table for people who wanted to take cookies home with them.  I set them in a glass bowl decorated with burlap ribbon, chalkboard label and a burlap flower.

This is how the table looked after adding all of the cookies and candies on the
day of the party!

The "To Go Bags"

Kristina's new married name will be "Ames" so when I saw the letters at Hobby Lobby I couldn't resist decorating these for the appetizer table.  They came black with the burlap already on them and I added the flowers, ribbon, pearls and butterflies.   They really looked great set out on the table and she didn't know about them ahead of time so it was a fun surprise the day of the party.

The last items I want to share are things that Kristina designed.  "He Popped the Question" sticker labels which we stuck to the front of plastic cups and filled with kettle corn.  The ring in the picture is a photo of her actual engagement ring...sooooo cute!

Then she designed an Instagram sign for tagging Instagram photos...her hash tag is #ameskataiwedding2015.  On the same table she made a sign to go with her "Date Night Sticks".  These are Popsicle sticks which I painted and covered with patterned paper.  They were set out so that guests could write out "Date Night Ideas" for Kristina and Eric.

The last photo shows the "S mores" packages which we made up and added "S mores Love" tags.  That evening all of the younger folks sat around our fire pit and made S mores...
