Candle Stick Jars - Easter 2013

Hi!  Today I'm just doing a quick post to show you how I filled and decorated my Candle Stick Jars for Easter.  I can't believe Easter is almost here...It's at the end of March this year...WOW!!!

I filled the first jar with Easter confetti then added a pink/white polka dot bow with a butterfly on top and a yellow sparkly metal bunny hanging in the center.  The second jar is filled with different sized plastic & glittered styrofoam Easter eggs then I added a yellow/white polka dot bow and a green sparkly metal bunny hanging in the center.  The third jar is filled with pretty speckled jelly bean Easter egg candies then I added a green/white polka dot bow and a pink sparkly metal bunny hanging in the center.  All of the items were purchased from Hobby Lobby except the candies which came from Target.  Oh and the ribbon for the bows are from Michaels Craft store.

Unless I can figure out something for the Spring/Summer season after Easter the next holiday will be 4th of July so I'll post the jars again then.

Happy Wednesday!

Thanks for stopping by...

Candle Stick Jars - Valentine's Day

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

This morning I wanted to again share with you my Candle Stick Jars.  I have shared these jars with you before at Halloween when I had filled them with candy corn, added the letters BOO and tied black/white plaid bows to the tops.  They turned out so cute that I decided I wanted to leave them out year round and just change them up for each holiday.  I'll change the contents of the jars and the bows I tie to the top.  Each time I change them I will try to remember to post them for you, they really are cute and make a great holiday decoration.  If you want to learn how to make them click "Candle Stick Jars" on my side bar and you will find the instructions on my original post.

I forgot to take photos from the Christmas season.  I had filled the jars with small colorful ornaments and I tied red/green plaid bows to the tops.  They were really cute and the letters hanging on each jar spelled JOY.

For February, Valentine's Day, I filled each jar with something different.  Jar #1 had pink and red glittered hearts with bows, Jar #2 had pink, light pink sheer and red rose petals, and Jar #3 had multi colored heart gummy candies.  The bows I tied to the top of each jar were all different Valentine themed ribbons.  All of the items I used came from Michaels Craft Store.

This is how they turned out...

Thanks for stopping bye...

Candlestick Candy Jars for Halloween

Hi and Good Morning!!!   I Love Pinterest!!!  My girls turned me on to this web site, you can find it at www.pinterest.com, and I just can't get enough of it now!  I can scroll through all the great pictures for hours on end.  I find the best recipes, decorating tips, and diy crafts!

Today my craft is from Pinterest, of course...my eldest daughter actually found this one.  I was at her house visiting for a week and she showed the picture to me.  I decided to make them for her...of course they turned out so great I had to have a set for myself too...lol!

I looked everywhere for those jars and couldn't find them anywhere.  Then after reading the instructions for making these, I realized the jars they used were from Hobby Lobby.  Off to Hobby Lobby I went!  That was the only place I could find the Jars I wanted, I don't have a Hobby Lobby where I live so luckily there was one not far from my daughters home.  Then off to Michaels, World Market and Target to get the rest of the items I needed!

Here is the finished project...Aren't they great!!!

Oh yea, at Christmas time you can fill them with little ornaments or Christmas candies, add the Letters JOY in red and a Christmas colored bow!  I'm still trying to think of three letters for Easter, then filling jars with Easter candies and adding a Easter colored bow.  Soooo Cute!

My Project Recipe:
Candlesticks from World Market...the directions called for separate wooden pieces glued and
painted but buying these three from World Market was much less time consuming and besides
I couldn't find all the right wood pieces I needed!
Jars from Hobby Lobby...they are glued to the candle sticks so they don't fall off
     Ribbon from Michaels
BOO Letters from Michaels - Letters were white so I painted them black and added glitter to the
          front of each letter.
Finial is wood purchased on line from Woodworks, Ltd. - www.craftparts.com then painted black
and glued to top of jar lid.
     Candy Corn is from Target

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a Wonderful Day!
Hugs...Patti
